More Poetry

Love or Tragedy? One could only guess.
An opinion. Happiness toward one another
might be depression for the other.

Nonsense. Truth. Societal judgements.
Perfection in one person's eye,
for someone else to satisfy.

Murder. Crime. Revenge for Peace.
An oxymoron don't you think?

Poetry screams, opinions cannot be fact.
I hear the screams. I am me.
I see them as I do.
My ideas may be strange but don't judge.
Do I judge you?

I like how you didn't write a poem based on one of the poem's assigned for class, but on all of them. If read by someone not in the class, this poem would seem full of random ideas, but because I read all of the poems I can see where your ideas are coming from...which I think is interesting. My favorite part of this poem is the second stanza, which I'm guessing the inspiration came from the Barbie poem. "Perfection in one person's eye, for someone else to satisfy." I like it Julio, nice work.

I agree with Emily that this poem is interesting because it is made up of so many different ideas and inspirations. Now I want to go back and reread the assigned poems to try to puzzle out when you address each one...
